VicRoads awarded FRH Projects (now Fulton Hogan) three of the six contracts on the Hallam Bypass.

Two of these contracts involved the design and construction of approximately three quarters of the Freeway, while the other contract was for the design and construction of an interchange.

The project objective was to provide safe, continuous two-lane travel in each direction of the Bypass, separated by a wire rope median safety barrier. Provision was also required for the future expansion of the Bypass into three lanes in each direction.

Hallam Bypass was delivered by Fulton Hogan 17 months ahead of schedule representing significant economic and safety benefits for the community and State of Victoria.
