KiwiRail Bridge 7

Replacement of a timber, twin bridge with a four span steel bridge including:

• Bored piles 24m deep 1000mm in diameter
• Insitu concrete head stocks
• One abutment was pre cast, installed during a weekend block of line and one abutment was poured insitu
• The existing bridges were demolished and new Steel Plate Girder (SPG) bridge four spans installed over a 40 hour block of line
