Fulton Hogan is set to hit the ground running in 2023, confirming the appointment of two highly experienced executives to its Australian Executive Team. This rounds out a significant leadership refresh in Australia for the leading construction and infrastructure company.
The new appointments to the Executive Team are Sarah Marshall in the newly created role of Executive General Manager – People, Safety and Sustainability, while longstanding General Counsel Katherine Williams will also join the lead team stewarding the Australian business.
Fulton Hogan Australia CEO, Graeme Johnson welcomed Sarah and Katherine to the Australian Executive Team.
“The creation of the EGM People, Safety and Sustainability role and elevation of this role to the Executive Team reflects how important these functions are to our customers and our business as we seek to grow what is already a substantial footprint in Australia. Sarah Marshall is highly respected across the industry, and well placed to bring these vital external perspectives into our business,” says Mr Johnson.
Ms Marshall will lead the company’s national strategies for people and culture, health, safety, quality and environment (HSQE), and sustainability. She will work alongside business unit CEOs for Construction, Utilities and Infrastructure Services to drive common high standards.
She brings over 25 years construction and infrastructure experience including 13years senior executive management experience in leading operational support functions in multi-disciplinary infrastructure businesses. For the last three years, Sarah was a General Manager in the Fulton Hogan Construction business.
Katherine Williams also brings deep knowledge of the sector to the refreshed executive team. Her background encompasses four years in the General Counsel role with Fulton Hogan Australia and previous roles with LendLease and Abigroup Contractors over a 20-year career.
The balance of the executive team include Graeme Johnson (appointed January 2022), Peter Curl, CEO Infrastructure Services (appointed May2022) and Brett Smiley, CEO Construction (appointed July 2022). They joined Lee Revell on the Executive Team who has been the CEO of the Utilities business since 2019.

Fulton Hogan has been in business for 90 years and operating in Australia for over 40 years where the company currently employs approximately 4000 employees across the country, undertaking large scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects and programs of work across resources, transport, water, energy, telecommunications and defence sectors.
