Electric Ute Joins Fulton Hogan Fleet

Fulton Hogan this week welcomed into its fleet one of the first electric Utes to hit Australian roads – and the first electric Ute in South Australia.

“The introduction of the fully electric Ute into our Utilities business in South Australia is one of a number of initiatives we are trialling across Australia and New Zealand to engineer out and drive down emissions,” said Boris Ninkovic, General Manager, Fulton Hogan Utilities – SA, Vic & Tas.

“Here at Fulton Hogan we deliver high-quality, resilient infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand, and like many others involved in delivering critical infrastructure, we have relied heavily on diesel to power machinery and our vehicle fleets. We know that the bulk of our emissions come from the fuel we burn and the electricity we use. Through investing in new technologies and updating our plant and assets, overtime we can meet the demand for infrastructure while engineering out emissions,” said Boris.

The company has set targets of 30 percent emissions reduction by 2030 (2021 baseline) and net carbon zero by 2050 (scope 1 & 2). Our carbon reduction plan has been independently verified by an internationally accredited organisation, Toitu Envirocare.
