Jessie is one to watch for the future

19 March 2024:

You know the future’s in good hands with people like Jessie Jacobs in our industry.

Fulton Hogan Civil’s Health & Safety Manager- Central North Island, has won the Young Future Leader award at the 2024 Site Safe Health, Safety and Wellbeing Awards in Auckland. Here’s what the judges had to say about the 24 year-old:

“Jessie makes Health & Safety accessible, achievable and fun.  She demonstrates empathy with her peers and consideration for other’s points of view – she is a leader people want to follow.

“Our job is made easier when the person nominated is a genuine rising star. Even though early in her career, Jessie Jacobs has had a stellar rise through the ranks at Fulton Hogan.”

Moving into the Civil Bay of Plenty business in late 2021 in an H&S advisor role, Jessie has thrived and is now H&S Manager for Civil – Central North Island. The role is growing further, and she is now also supporting South Island and East Coast (North Island) Health & Safety advisors on Civil projects.

Jessie’s manager Becky Cox describes Jessie as “a mana wahine and trusted advisor and friend to our Fulton Hogan whanau.  She is an authentic and leader who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and we are all so proud of her.”

Becky says Jessie is fearless, determined and known for rolling up her sleeves to make health and safety awareness accessible, achievable, and fun.
