CCNZ Award For Central Region

Fulton Hogan’s Central region have won a Hynds Construction Award for Projects over $5M for their Eastern Access Road project.

Project Manager Richard Lee received the award on behalf of the project team at the CCNZ Otago branch construction awards on Friday night. Richard put the project’s success down to a great team of people with a can do attitude.

Peter Hansby and Gareth Noble from Queenstown Lakes District Council were present along with Stantec’s representative and Project Engineer Derek Chin.

The project involved constructing up to 7m deep 1800dia stormwater pipes, realignment of the main sewer main (675dia), water and sewer construction and 2.4km of roadway all over a tight 15 month time frame.

Fulton Hogan Regional Manager Paul Bisset was very proud of the entire team’s performance and the end result of the project, “The success of the project was due to everyone’s willingness to work together. Everyone involved in the project has gained invaluable experience which will serve them well in the future. The award is recognition to all those who have put in the hard yards to meet the timelines and deliver a successful project,” said Paul.
