AMETI Project Stars On TVNZ’s Seven Sharp

On Tuesday 24 November, TVNZ’s Seven Sharp featured the AMETI Eastern Busway Stage 1 in Panmure and Pakuranga, Auckland we’re building on behalf of Auckland Transport.

Here’s the result, featuring star-of-the-show – project engineer and lead engineer for the Bridge Superstructure, Simone Myburgh, bridge supervisor Tony Pemberton  and project manager James Weller.

The bridge will be a two lane busway, cycle way, pedestrian path and will have viewing platforms. Total length is 210m; total weight is 1700 tonnes and the 10 girders weigh between 60 and 92 tonnes.  Project completion date is late 2021.
