27 November 2023:
Fulton Hogan’s application of technology to help field forces meet communities’ water needs has been recognised with an international award. Shown here is Christchurch-based Integration Architect, Ankur Shrivastava (centre), receiving the Social Impact Award at the Australia/New Zealand Boomi APJ 2023 Customer Innovation Awards.
Fulton Hogan was singled out from 25 other leading Australian and New Zealand companies for:
“Designing an always-on, event-based architecture to deliver bidirectional integration between its field service management platform and Sydney Water, fulfilling the obligations of the West Region Delivery Team Joint Venture to deliver high-quality water services across the to the city’s citizens.”
In layperson’s terms this means the Sydney Water Asset Management system is actively integrated into the field service management platform, allowing dispatchers to assign jobs to technicians and to update jobs in the field, feeding that information to Sydney Water in real time.
This ensures work orders are automatically prioritised, and the approach has helped Western Sydney achieve a 10% reduction in water leakage over two years.
Christchurch-based Integration Architect, Ankur Shrivastava, has worked at the heart of this programme since the beginning, supported by Utilities Business Systems Manager, Kit Englund, Group Information Systems Manager, Warrick Atherton, and Digital Lead, Ken Cave.
Also recognised was Fulton Hogan’s JV partner, Programmed, the water network specialists at Sydney Water and integration partner, Adaptiv.
