Playing Our Part To Help The Disadvantaged And Vulnerable

Introducing the Centre of Excellence in Earthmoving (CEE) program.

On Friday, 19 May 2017 Fulton Hogan General Manager – Southern Construction, Domenic De-Fazio (CCF Victorian President) collaborated with Premier, the Hon Daniel Andrews and Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Chief Executive Officer, John Kilgour to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and introduced a Centre of Excellence in Earthmoving (CEE) program.

The introduction of the CEE program is aimed at supporting people in the community that are disadvantaged, unemployed, or transitioning out of industries such as automotive or energy and help provide practical training and employment for those wanting to switch over to the civil construction sector.

All participants in the CEE program will receive the following:
 an opportunity to secure a job in civil construction based on individual skills, interests and ability;
 an internal workplace mentor and external mentor for up to 12 months;
 statement of attainment in core units of competency or what’s also called ‘foundation skills’ from Certificate III in Civil Construction General; and
 all PPE for training & work placement.

The signing of the MOU is a significant milestone not only for the civil construction sector, but also for the social health and wellbeing of the wider community.
