Walnut Avenue Intersection Improvements

Client: NZTA Waka Kotahi
Duration: August 2021 – November 2022

Scope of Works:

Walnut Avenue involved the upgrades of two roundabouts to signalised intersections, a new rail level crossing and improvements to pedestrian and cycling facilities. The scope of works included traffic signal, chamber and ducting installation, street lighting upgrades, stormwater basins, pavement and island construction located on the high profile state highway network.

The project was split into two zones (East and West). Each zone had its own management team, and operational teams ensuring each zone was not reliant on the next.
