Stars shine brightly at 2024 NAWIC Awards

23 July 2024:

Take a bow, our wonderful wāhine, for your successes at Friday night’s (19 July) National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Awards.

We are proud of all our nominees and finalists, and particularly of the five who went on to win their categories or receive special citations at the gala dinner at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Annuity Win Work Manager Kirsten Bell won the Excellence in Construction Organisation – Office Based category; Bay of Plenty Trainee Site Engineer, Hinearoha McAllister, was joint winner of the Student Excellence Award and Bay of Plenty Project Engineer, Darcy Gallagher, won the Rising Star – Site Award.  Bay of Plenty HSQE and People Divisional Manager, Alicia Tomchuk, was Highly Commended in the Excellence in Health and Safety Wellbeing category, while General Manager People, Nicola Wilson, received a Special Merit Award in the premiere category, the Helen Tippett Award for contribution to the industry.

The industry is indebted to the National Association of Women in Construction for their passion and commitment and congratulate all finalists and winners, across the board.
